Recreation Facilities

Teslin is a village growing with recreational facilities and many upgrades which include artificial ice in the Village of Teslin's official size skating rink, 3 sheets of artificial ice in our curling rink, and a gym equipped with everything you'll need for a great workout.

The Recreation complex that houses our Arena has four large change rooms and a coach's room. There is now a mezzanine in the Arena for viewing hockey in a nice heated space with a couple of balconies overlooking the skating rink.

Teslin has 3 sheets of artificial curling ice. An inside viewing area, a shuffleboard table, and a small bar are also located in this area.

We are very fortunate here to have a great gym located upstairs in the arena (photos here). There is lots of great equipment and we have monthly memberships available or a drop-in fee of $5.00 plus GST. Gym fees must be paid at the Village office during regular business hours prior to using the facility.

The Recreation Complex has a large hall that could be used for meetings, banquets, dances, or sporting events. The hall is equipped with a kitchen, bar, and stage. This is an excellent location for a variety of events. The mezzanine, which is located overlooking the hockey arena, is another great meeting space with a small kitchen for coffee service. It is carpeted and is being used for yoga, Zumba, and other recreational activities.

A Ball Diamond was built in the spring of 2005 equipped with benches, picnic tables, and a concession stand building on the premises. A great place to hang out with friends, share a family ball game, or bring out the team.

In September 2005 a brand new skateboard park was developed next to the Teslin Lake Recreation Complex with many different structures that will catch that free-wheeling skateboarder's eyes.
